Star Artwork

                             This is my star artwork.
                             I used google drawings.
I was inspired to do it when we were learning about matariki.
It was hard to put the pattern in the stars.
I enjoyed picking the shapes of the stars.
I found it hard to make the moon.

  3. Hine Kihawai

On Wednesday the 1st of August at 9:30am Riverdale School students walked over to the school hall for a roleplay about a maori story. The story was about Hine Kihawai and her kids called Tama-nui and Baba.

In the beginning of the story there was a boy named Tama-nui and a girl named Baba. They are Hine Kihawai’s kids. Tama-nui was a kind boy but he sucked at sports. When Tama-nui and baba were finished at school they helped a old man get his walking stick back from across the road.

Tama and Baba went up the tapu mountain that their mama told them not to go up, but they did not listen. Tama found a tapu tree with cursed fruit. Tama ate one of the cursed fruit of a tapu tree and Baba warned him not to eat it but he already ate it. Baba and Tama went back to school.

Tama was acting weird when he got back to school. When school finished again Baba and Tama were walking home. Baba saw the old man again, and then she told Tama. When she did, he did not care at all. He pushed the old man who then pushed Baba on the road. Then she got hit by a car and Tama tried to wake her up. Baba’s mama saw her in heaven and then she sended Baba back to her body.

I felt excited because it was amazing. I enjoyed watching the whole thing.
